May Moments at ChickpeaHub: A Month of Growth, Travel & Nourishment

May was a wonderfully full and nourishing month at ChickpeaHub. Chickpea kept busy with study, travel, gardening, swimming, and most importantly — sharing good food with good people.

This month marked a milestone in Chickpea’s studies, with assignments submitted for the Nutrition and Immunity module — another step closer to becoming a higher level qualified nutrition adviser. The Chickpea allotment was also in full swing, with daily watering and walking bringing in beautiful seasonal produce: crisp spinach, earthy beetroot, and redcurrants beginning to ripen. Asparagus season has been celebrated in the kitchen too!

Earlier in the month, Chickpea attended an inspiring hormone health workshop in London, followed two weeks later by a fun night out at the theatre to see Stranger Things with Black Bean.

There was time for travel as well — a lovely visit to Berlin to see family, followed by a wedding in Mallorca, where Chickpea’s nutritious meals were very much appreciated by travel companions. Chickpea even managed to get in some swimming in both locations, keeping the focus on feeling good through balanced movement and rest.

Back at home, Peanut has been hitting the gym, while Lentil enjoyed time at the pool during the half-term holidays. Black Bean took them out on electric bike adventures, and there was plenty of social time with friends.

This month also marked Chickpea’s first official dog walks, now listed on the Rover app, and a chance to support neighbours by looking after their pets during a family emergency. Because wellbeing isn’t just about nutrition — it’s about being part of a caring community.
